Match the chemistry to the soil and the surface, not to the price. The wrong choice usually shows up as a customer using twice as much of the right one.
Neutral detergents are for routine cleaning where there is no infection risk and no heavy grease. They are safe on most surfaces and cheap to run.
Acidic cleaners handle mineral scale in bathrooms and washrooms. They must never be mixed with anything chlorinated, which is the mistake that puts people in hospital.
Alkaline degreasers are for kitchens and anywhere with baked-on grease. Hospital-grade disinfectants are for infection control and carry a contact time that has to be observed to mean anything.
If a site is going through an unusual amount of something, the usual cause is that they are using the wrong product for the job and compensating with volume.
